Azamara Quest

Completely destination immersive, this deep dive into luxury with a sharply expanded menu of complimentary services is nothing short of stunning. It fulfils its promise of being the heralder of some “bucket-list itineraries”, thanks to its longer stay at the ports, more overnights and night time touring. It is a floating hotel in every way.

Why Yes?

The itineraries have a strong focus on providing an extraordinary on-shore experience and that is what takes the limelight. And when this is followed by an exotic culinary experience and great service, its nothing short of bliss.

Why Not?

The entertainment options on-board are limited, such as the small casino and the hit-or-miss theater offerings. This ship is more for some serene and sublime cruises with trotting around some exotic destinations.

It’s a yes yes, if you want to immerse yourself in an exemplary destimation trotting. This ship majorly sails to Europe and that calls for some perfect sights and inside passage citings which this beautifully captures.

Cabin Review

The rooms, fall in seven categories: interior, ocean view, balcony and suites. 70% of the rooms fall in the last two categories. Cabin decor is dominated by neutral shades of cream, gray and beige, giving the rooms an easy-breezy look. All rooms have a 40-55 inch flat screen, a writing table, USB chargers, minibars, hairdryers, sofa sets and all that you’d need to stay comfortable on-board. In most of the rooms, the two twin sized beds can be converted into one queen sized bed. You can watch something on the international channels or a movie or go through the menu to spot the excursions available. Bathrooms for all the cabins are small yet comfortable enough.

The Cabret Lounge is the very life of the ship. Its neural theme graced by the ballroom dancing followed and the Ukaranian Ballroom dance champions is a delight in every way. Two shows take place here with some ballroom dancing in the middle, followed by a DJ Night post 11 pm. Azamara also has guest entertainers perform in some sailings. These include comedians, magicians, ventriloquists, singers and pianists. The quality of the performance depends on the artist. Routine activities during the day include, trivia contests, bridge sessions and cooking demonstrations, dance classes, shop and spa seminars, dart and Ping-Pong contests, charades, open slot play, Texas Hold’em tournaments. and special interest lectures by a guest speaker.

The food on-board is a deep dive into royalty and varied cuisines (specifically the bread baskets-they are luscious. The waiting time for each course is really short and service is great. Always there at your beck and call, the crew on-board quickly learn and adapt to your taste & preference, and personalize their service to give you the best experience, thereby making the service impeccable. To make the most of the views and food, you can also book your favourite table for the next few days and enjoy the romance. The crew is amazing as they not only get to know about your likes and dislikes quickly, but also remember them Azamara realises that some diners have special dietary needs and a big thumps up to them for this. Every dinner menu features vegetarian, vegan options, gluten-free and healthy choice options.

Two meals you shouldn’t miss, are the once-per-cruise jazz brunch served in the Discoveries main dining room and the Officers’ BBQ with suckling pig, barbecue ribs, baked beans, macaroni and cheese, make your own Caesar salad and tacos, potato salad and coleslaw. Also, don’t miss out on the White Night dinner. Soda, select wines and beers are complementary, always.
