Azamara Journey

You can’t possibly go wrong with the Journey’s destination-intensive itineraries accompanied by some sumptuous food on-board, warmed by the smiles of the crew. You can leave your tux and gowns at home, find a spot on the ship and have your time amidst some picturesque landscapes of Europe.

Why Yes?

This isn’t just a cruise ship, it’s a cruising experience, thanks to the friendly staff and the unwavering commitment to destination cruising. This feels like home since it doesn’t take too much time for one to gel with 700 odd passengers spanned across the five decks. All this falls in line with the destinations this ship cruises to and the longer stay at the ports ( at least one overnight in each sailing) & an AzAmazing Evening & White Night Party on every cruise , making it feature high up on the cruisers’ go-to list.

Why Not?

The entertainment options on-board are limited, such as the small casino and the hit-or-miss theater offerings. This ship is more for some serene and sublime cruises with trotting around some exotic destinations.

It’s a yes yes, if you want to enjoy a mature, peaceful getaway and are looking for a more exclusive, non-intrusive cruising experience wherein you can spend more time at the ports.

Cabin Review

Designed specifically for couples, the spacious rooms, fall in four categories: interior, ocean view, balcony and suites. 70% of the rooms fall in the last two categories. Cabin decor is dominated by neutral shades of cream, gray and beige, giving the rooms an easy-breezy look. All rooms have a 40-55 inch flat screen, a writing table, USB chargers, minibars, hairdryers, sofa sets and all that you’d need to stay comfortable on-board. In most of the rooms, the two twin sized beds can be converted into one queen sized bed. You can watch something on the international channels or a movie or go through the menu to spot the excursions available. Bathrooms for all the cabins are small yet comfortable enough.

The food on-board is a deep dive into royalty and varied cuisines (specifically the bread baskets-they are luscious. The waiting time for each course is really short and service is great. Always there at your beck and call, the crew on-board quickly learn and adapt to your taste & preference, and personalize their service to give you the best experience, thereby making the service impeccable. To make the most of the views and food, you can also book your favourite table for the next few days and enjoy the romance. The crew is amazing as they not only get to know about your likes and dislikes quickly, but also remember them Azamara realises that some diners have special dietary needs and a big thumps up to them for this. Every dinner menu features vegetarian, vegan options, gluten-free and healthy choice options.

Two meals you shouldn’t miss, are the once-per-cruise jazz brunch served in the Discoveries main dining room and the Officers’ BBQ with suckling pig, barbecue ribs, baked beans, macaroni and cheese, make your own Caesar salad and tacos, potato salad and coleslaw. Also, dont miss out on the White Night dinner. Soda, select wines and beers are complimentary, always.
